Stanford Health Care Data Science & Analytics

The Division of Computational Medicine develops and applies computational methods to improve human health by translating scientific discoveries and data-driven innovations into real-world healthcare solutions. This mission is exemplified by the Data Science and Analytics (DSA) team at Stanford Health Care, led by Dr. Nigam Shah. As the health system’s enterprise analytics and data science group, DSA partners with clinicians, operational leaders, and researchers to develop AI, machine learning, and clinical analytics solutions that improve patient care, quality, safety, and operational performance.

The partnership between the Division of Computational Medicine and Stanford Health Care demonstrates how computational innovation can be embedded within healthcare systems to advance learning health systems and improve health outcomes.
